Notices & corrections

Takedown & correction requests.

If your company appears in one of our reports and you want to request suppression, correction, or privacy-related action, here is how.

Last updated: April 23, 2026

Who This Is For

This channel is for named companies or their authorised representatives who want to contact TradeScope Asia regarding how their company appears in our published reports.

If you are a customer with a refund or product question, please see our refund policy in Terms of Service and contact info@tradescopeasia.com with a customer question instead.

Two Request Types

We handle two kinds of requests through this channel. They can be submitted together or separately.

1. Data Issue / Suppression

If you are a named company disputing how you appear in a report, or you want your company removed from future reports, this is the right lane. You can request:

  • Suppression — removal of your company from future published reports
  • Review of specific values — if you believe the estimated import volume, volume share, or source-country mix is materially inaccurate

Suppression requests are handled quickly and do not require evidence beyond confirming you are authorised to speak for the company. If instead you are flagging a specific value as wrong, please include supporting information (for example, your own sales or shipment records) so we can review the concern.

Because our reports are modeled estimates regenerated from public data sources, we do not edit individual values in place. Where a review confirms a concern, we will either suppress the entry entirely or address it in a future regeneration using better or updated source data. While a credible request is under review, we may temporarily suppress the entry from our published output.

2. Privacy / Data-Subject Rights

If you are invoking data-protection rights — for example, objection to processing, access, correction, or deletion under Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) or a similar law in your jurisdiction — this is the right lane. These requests are governed by our Privacy Policy.

How to Submit a Request

Email info@tradescopeasia.com with [Takedown Request] in the subject line.

Please include:

  • The company name your request concerns
  • The specific report or page if known (the product URL is fine)
  • What outcome you are asking for (suppression, correction, access, deletion, or another action)
  • For correction requests: supporting documentation of the correct values
  • Confirmation that you are the company or an authorised representative (a company email, business card, LinkedIn profile, letterhead, or explanation of authority is sufficient — we don't require notarization or ID copies)

We keep correspondence confidential and will only use the information you provide to handle your request and maintain a record of how it was resolved.

How Long It Takes

These are targets, not guaranteed deadlines. Complex matters may take longer, in which case we will provide a status update rather than going silent.

  • We aim to acknowledge your request within 3 business days of receipt.
  • For a straightforward suppression request, we aim to act within 7–14 business days.
  • For a correction or privacy request requiring review, we aim to provide a substantive response or status update within 14 business days.

What "Removal" Actually Means

If we approve a suppression or correction request, the change will apply to:

  • Future regenerated reports — the company will no longer appear in any new versions
  • Future deliveries to customers from our system
  • Product pages, previews, and other online materials under our direct control

We cannot recall, delete, or control copies that have already been downloaded, forwarded, cached, screenshot, or otherwise retained by customers or third parties. TradeScope Asia publishes reports as downloadable files, which means some copies inevitably exist outside our systems by the time a request arrives.

If you believe a specific customer is using our data in a way that breaches our Permitted Use terms — for example, as evidence in a legal proceeding, for compliance or sanctions screening, or for public accusations of wrongdoing — please let us know in your request and we will review the customer's access.

What We Might Not Do

We may decline a request (or ask for more information) if:

  • We cannot verify that you are the company or authorised to speak for it
  • A correction request is not supported by documentation
  • The request is clearly in bad faith (for example, a competitor attempting to suppress a rival's visibility)
  • The request is already being handled through another channel (refund disputes, legal proceedings under counsel, etc.)

If we decline, we will tell you why and what additional information would allow us to reopen the matter.

Record-Keeping

We maintain an internal record of takedown requests and their resolution. These records are used to handle your request, respond to follow-up questions, and document our response pattern if a dispute escalates. We retain them for as long as is reasonably necessary for these purposes.

Scope and Limits

This channel handles report-content questions. It is not the place for:

  • Customer refunds or product delivery issues — see Terms of Service §5
  • General business or press inquiries — use info@tradescopeasia.com without the subject prefix
  • Formal legal service of process — use the contact in our Terms of Service
